MDM support activities

Hi All

Im very new to MDM and could any one help me in the roll to perform the support activities in MDM project.

Hi Hari,

As a part of any support project, You need to maintain your repositories and servers as per the new enhancements you are going live with. Like if you have any new functionality to be implemented in your project, you may need to add fields/tables accordingly. 2nd case can be, if you are going for any MDM upgrades in your live project, you need to maintain servers and the specific applications, ini files etc.

Hi Hari,

These are some of the support activites that I can think of:

1. MDM Related support :

Archiving/Unarchiving Repositories for back up,

Exploring MDM Log Reports for tracking Issues ,

Analyzing Workflow Failures and Updating if required, Checking for MDM Server connectivity ,

Re- Starting MDM Server in case of shut down,

Re- Starting MDM Import Server,

Re- Starting MDM Syndication Server ,

Performing search actions on any requests,

Checking for DBMS connectivity and Failures ,

End user support, Workflow prioritising, CIp Project with in MDM etc.

It also depends upon the landscape of the implementation done.

It can be ECC support where you might have to Test IDOCs in case of failure in syndication with XI team. Also Tracking and CCMS Monitoring on MDM through ECC.

It depends upon the Systems involved in the landscape also.
