Datafiles not Visible

Hello,

We have done a fresh installation of SAPR3 4.6B with Oralce 9.2.0.8 and Sun Solaris 5.9 for testing the OS-DB Migration from Informix to Oracle...

Before starting the import phase on this server, we added 700 Gb of datafiles with 16, 8 , 4 & 2 gb of files....

But here after adding all the datafiles we are not able to see the datafiles of 16 , 8 & 4 gb whereas 2gb datafiles are only visible...

System has used up the storage of 670 gb which consisted of 16 , 8 & 4 gb files...

e.g I had added 250 gb datafiles in PSAPBTABD with 16 gb *5 , 8 gb * 20 and 2gb *5 files... Now it shows only 10 gb which is 2 gb *5 files added...

Is this some Oracle , OS or SAP Constraint?

Kindly suggest as we are not able to go ahead with import phase which is getting terminated because of space constraint...

Thanks,

RaHuL...

Hello Rahul,

have you already checked sapnote #129439 for the limits with Solaris?

Your given information (filesystem, fs options, limts, etc..) is not enough.

Hello,

Thanks for the reply... I have already checked the note...

I have checked the parameter max_file_size which is 2TB...

No Restriction on Solaris 5.9 and Oracle...

What other information do you need....

Thanks,

I had added 16 8 & 4 gb files which i can see in alert.log files but it is not showing at database level...

What could be the reason..

Only gb files are showing...

Thanks,

Hello,

what type of filesystem are you using (or raw device?)?

How do you show your data files: Which query or view do you use?

Regards

Stefan
