Production Notification to Delivery Department.

Hi,

I have a requirement which seems to have no standard SAP solution.

Issue:

1. Customer service creates a (pick from stock) sales order with delivery date 06/27/2008.

2. Stock is missing, so SAP creates a stock production order with completion date 06/25/2008.

3. Delivery department would like to ship these units on 06/25/2008 (2 days early) to avoid stocking it.

4. But, the delivery deprtment does not know that the production order is completed on 06/252008, so they wait till 06/27/2008!!!!

Requirement:

1. SAP should notify one of the delivery department users that a production order is completed and can be shipped immedietly.

2. SAP should also provide which sales order needs to be delivered.

Is this possible in SAP? Please remember that this is not make-to-order process, so there is no direct link between prodcution order and sales order.

Is TOR switched on at schedule lines category?

You should not have any problems listed by you if you are working with MRP planning.

Hello,

when you create a make to order, the Transfer Of Requirements has to be passed to Production Palnning, they will crete production order if it an inhouse production...
