The client is locked for data import by client copy

Hello,

We use 4.7.2 SAP, SAP BASIS 6.20, kernel 6.40

I was using tp (as usual) to import client into my development system from production. I had to import 2 clients. After the first import, I was able to complete SCC7 steps fine. After second import I am getting the following message:

"The client is locked for data import by client copy."

I also noticed that Client role was "Customizing". An original one was Test. I changed it to "Test", but the problem persistsed.

However, all steps are done,all exit codes are good. I cannot figure out why system does not let me to perform SCC7 steps. I can login into imported client fine. Please, help ASAP.

check all your client setting In ssc4

1) client role should be- customizing

2)cress client object changes -allowed

3) Protection level 0

4) catt & e-catt - allowed

"The client is locked for data import by client copy" indicates that the target client is protected from client copies. Since you can already log into the target client, you have to make sure that you really DO want to copy (and overwrite) the data in this client before you unlock it.

To unlock: SCC4 > change mode > double click the target client > change Protection to "0 no restriction"
