Hi,
I had observed that, in my server SMLG screen is showing as total 10 users, when actually two users are logged in. and some times its counting sessions as users.
Suppose, if userx is working with server, in AL08 its showing this userid in each application server and its counting as total 6 users.
I think it should not show like this.
(4.7E, sql 200, win2003)
Please suggest me how to know the exact count ?
Regards,
Nagendra.
Exact count can be determined by active prsentation servers.
ST06 -> Detaled Analysis menu -> Lan check by ping

SM04 will give you detailed list of users and sessions... AL08 will show you the sessions per instance...
I'll use SM04 as a reference

Juan

Hi Juan,
I can see one user with four sessions.
My query is not ,which user opened how many sessions !!!! and how can i view !!!
If 10 user logged in one instance with each three sessions, total users per instance should 10 only. It should not more than that right ?
But my server is showing more than that count !!

Nagendra.
Hi Juan,
That is my production server. Multiple logins are disabled. So, no chance to the users for multiple logons. They can open maximum of 6 sessions.
The value of the parameter, login/disable_multi_gui_login is 1
And i can identify the difference between open sessions and logons
And now i am telling you again, if 10 users are loggedin in an instance, it should show exactly 10 users for that instance. but my system is showing more than that.
( Juan, If you want any clarifications about query, i can give you.
and if you doesn't want any exclamation marks, its good if tell me the reason )

Nagendra.
Hi Nagendra,
For the query of excla, mation marks check : https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/home/rulesofEngagement
I wonder if you have ever read the rules of engagement for the forum earlier but if not please do so.
Coming to your question are all the users in SMLG dialog users? What if they are communication or system users for whom you can say that they are logged in as you can say for normal dialog users?
Regards.
Ruchit.
