Hello Xperts,
Recently I changed a RFC function import parameters length from 11 characters to 29 characters in R3. However when we called the RFC from XI's user defined function using the lookup classes, we were still getting 11 characters and the remaining characters were getting truncated.
We tried everything possible but in vain and only when we restarted the XI server is when we started getting all the expected 29 characters.
Is there any other way to achieve this without restarting the XI server.
I know that for lookup functions we only need to import the RFC function to get the signature in xml format. And we tried to import the latest version of the RFC function also but that didn't help.
Your answers will be rewarded appropriately. Thanks in advance.
regards,
Advait.
Hi,
Do some dummy changes(Like changing the descripton..) to RFC communication channel used for Look up, save and activate it once again . This will solve the problem.

Advait,
There is a concept of RFC metadata.
Two kinds of my metadata are involved
1.Design, Config Time
2. Runtime.
so reimporting RFC in repository will help to adjust your mapping in Design alone. But the RFC runtime (Adapter level) metadata will be refreshed if you activate your RFC communication Channel.
Hope it is clear.

Did you reimported the RFC?
