SCOT --- No messages sent

Former Member

Hello,

I am trying to configure SCOT in my Development Server. I have maintained following things but still messages are going in waiting queue only. And when i execute the send process i am getting status message as " No Messages Sent"

Steps Completed:

1. Maintained Default domain

2. Double click on SMTP and maintained Mail Host and Internet settings allowing email to * ie. all the mail accounts.

3. Routing Test is also successful.

Issue: Now when i create a mail it goes in WAITING queue and even if i start send process it says "No msgs sent".

What shd i do ?? Earlier it was working fine so what can be the error?

Regards & Thanks,

Ankita.

I know this is an old post, but just in case anybody stumbles across this I will post our solution.

After digging around for a while we determined our SAP system time zone was set to CET (German Time) instead of EST (Eastern Standard Time) as it should have been. Therefore, when mail was created it was set to not send until 5 hours had passed.

Before making any changes be sure to first review: http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/Basis/Timezone+changes+best+practices

To correct the time zone enter T-Code: STZAC and set the correct time-zone for both client and user. The SAP system will then need a reboot before the proper time-zone appears.

HI,

Document sent ???!!!!

-> is it in the log?

Wait for communications service

-> check the communication between sap host and mail server.

-> try to restart ICM server.

tcode SMICM -> Administration -> ICM -> exit soft -> local

this will restart ICM process.

try to activate SMTP node again

-> SICF -> execute -> right click on sapconnect -> deactivate SMTP host then activate SMTP host

Hi Ankita,

Have you created a job to send the mail ? In SCOT -> View -> Jobs ..is there one defined ? If not create a job, should have program RSCONN01 defined with variant INT, schedule every 5 or 10 minutes depending on your requirements.

See [here|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2004/helpdata/en/75/33fb40ef74f823e10000000a155106/content.htm] for an example.

Hi Kaushal,

The error is still the same after restarting SMICM.

I have activated SAPCONNECT via Tcode SICF but geting below error if i try to "Test default_host"

Activated SAPConnect.

Activated default_host and services - sap & sap_java.

SICF -> execute -> right click on default_host then get error:

"Could not find host or port information"

What shd i do to resolve SICF and SCOT errors??

Program scheduling is not required in SCOT cos i am running the job manually currently.

Ankita.

Hi,

default_host is not required for sending mail. it's not required to sending mail.

you need to configure sapconnect (SMTP host)

did you configure SMTP according to SAP Note 455140 - Configuration of e-mail, fax, paging or SMS using SMTP

check you all settings according to this note.

Hello,

I think i'm facing this SCOT error due to difference between OS time settings and SAP level settings cos if i check System- Status then Usage data is showing difference as below:

Previous logon 17.07.2008 14:28:55

Logon 15:17:34

System time 16:58:37

Time zone INDIA 18.07.2008 02:58:37

On executing TZCUSTHELP report I'm getting below error-

System time zone or UTC timer is incorrect

I have set INDIA in STZAC and in SU01 too then why is this eror coming. Pls help me to resolve it as due to this SCOT is also going in wait queue only.

Regards & Thanks,

Ankita.

HI,

If you found sending time is in future under SOST then apply following note.

SAP Note 1015628 Documents with status 'Send time is not yet reached'

Hi Kaushal,

According to 1015628 note package level should be

SAPKB70014 for release 700 but in my case i'm already on package level SAPKB70015, hence the error is not due to this note.

My issue is if i resolve the below display in System - status --- first Usage data box then only SOS msg as below will be resolved.

Previous logon 17.07.2008 17:40:58

Logon 18.07.2008 10:19:14

System time 10:41:07

Time zone INDIA 20:41:07

SOST msg:

Will be sent after 18.07.2008 20:36:44

I'm confused that why the OS and System time not matching.

Ankita.

Hi,

Which OS you are using?

System time 10:41:07

Time zone INDIA 20:41:07

check the time zone settings on OS.

there is too large difference in OS and SAP system time.
