What is a settlement rule??

Where do we maintain, What is the significance of it?

Does it come under the perview of SD??

Settlement Rules are used in Contract, CO etc., and I am not sure what exactly you are asking.

All I wanted to know was why n where is settlement rule used.

I suppose settlement rule are maintained for Rebate. In Rebate, the rebate can be settled in Partial or full.

This is very broad level understanding of settlement rule.
