No Authorization to Change the Templete in BW System.

BW MCARS

User is trying to Change web template in BW System.

User able to run the same in Dev but not in QA.

BW System is BI 7.0 but Security is still with 3.x.

Error:

Steps:

1) Go to Web application designer from Bex in M28

2) Open existing web template, it is giving message as " No Access to

change the web templete

Web template YTD Billing by Client Service YSSM_CLT_SVC_YTD

View is YSSM_CLT_SVC_YTD

YSSM_WEB_YTD_BILLING is the query for the view.

Attached is the error screen shot.

User has all the dags by which he can perform the activiy

It anything releated to Characteristic Value.

Please guide me step by step how to resolve this issue.

Add the authorization object S_RS_BTMP for working with BI webtemplates. Also check the below link BI 7.0 authorizations.

User has Role with Full authorization for AO: S_RS_BTMP

Acvt - All

Technical Name of the Templete - *

Owner - *

You have provided the BI AO. We have implemented BI but security is still with BW 3.x.

Please Advice any other Alternative.

Do you also have S_RS_TOOLS with field value Webpublish? You can always do a trace using ST01 to see what object is missing.

ST01 will not show trace of Bex or reports

Use tcode RSSM or RSECADMIN

I agree that you use both RSSM & ST01 for tracing authorizations in BW. However ST01 is used for all the RS objects (SAP provided objects) & RSSM is used for RSR objects ( Custom authorization objects in BW). It is the combination of both ST01 & RSSM that can be used for authorization errors in BW.

Hello All,

We need to add the Missing Template to AO: S_USER_AGR. Missing Template can be checked by running the Trace in ST01. So Issue is resolved.
