HTTP proxy server settings

Hi experts,

I would like to call an external webservice, but I cannot reach the webservice. I guess there is the configuration of a proxy server missing to call the webservice via HTTP. Could anyone of you tell me how I can configure the internet access via our proxy server in Web AS 640?

where are you calling the webservice from?

if its from ABAP engine, you can do the http proxy settings from sm59->RFC->HTTP proxy configuration

or

SICF->Client->proxy settings.
