java.lang.ClassCastException while importing RFC

Hello,

I am trying to import the RFC SXMB_GET_MESSAGE_LIST (Adaptipe RFC --> WD Model) and get the

[Fatal]: java.lang.ClassCastException: null exception.

The importing parameter IM_FILTER has a "complex" structure; a table inside a structure. Is this the reason for the exception ? Is there a workaround or this is a limitation with WD ?

I am using the NWDS that came with NSP Java (Full Edition).

Thanks for the help.

Regards, Parag.

Note: It was possible to invoke this RFC in the portal; type RFC iView

Hi Parag,

When u r importing RFC as a model proxies are generated, structures in dictionary.See that all the necessary structures are created. This can be fatal.

Please also perform with the latest version of NWDS available.

A ClassCastException should never occur at runtime, so I would propose to open an OSS message.

Armin,

Unfortunately I dont have a S user, we are a small time ISV using the downloads from SDN. As it would be difficult to use our customer's OSS login, it would be great if you could create an internal message. The problem can be replicated quite easily using the RFC.

Hope you help out the community.

Thanks and Regards,

Parag.
