Regarding Transportation of Background jobs in Solman

Hi,

I am having a issue after applying SP 15 in our Solman Production.

Bckg Job REFRESH MESSAGE STATUS for refereshing message status which was working fine uptil SP10 now its

giving us error.

Is it possible that we set the variant for this job and schedule it in our Solman DEV environment and do the transport of this backgrd job to Solman PRd.

Is transportation of bckgrd job possible through customizing request or workbench request in Solman system

waiting for the reply at the earliest.

Hi,

The variant has to be transported via workbench request.

it mght be possible to transport the job by transporting the content of tables TBTC*, for example TBTCO.

However I recommend to use the Job Scheduling Management for this purpose, see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm40/helpdata/en/c5/7edcbd58ce4e29bc1baf1c4761d71f/frameset.htm

On the "System Landscape" tab of your job documentation you assign a logical component, which automatically gives you access to your development, test and production systems. Select the development systems and press the"Schedule" button. Enter the job schedule parameter, e.g. report, variant and period, and save. Now select the development system again and press the "Copy Schedule" button. Select test and developemnt system and press OK. Now parameters are copied. Access test and development system and schedule the jobs in these systems.

result: Job is running in all three systems with the same variant.

Note that the variant has to be transported independent of the job schedule, so you have to synchonize these tasks manually.
