Hi,
I have a role in QAS system.
I want to transport it to the DEV system,. I have released the request in QAS, but i could nto see the data file and co file in the transport directory
The tR route is as follows
DEV-> QAS--> PROD
Pls help

you could not send a role from QUA To DEV.But you can do this download a role from QUA and Upload in DEV.
PFCG->Role->Download
PFCG--->Role->Upload

datafile and cofile are not created in case you set up transport without correct "Target" go to the se01 place you transport request and display > Proporties
If field Target system is empty, tranposrt reqeust will not be created, as I have this experiences

roles cannot be transported.
but they can be downloaded.
goto pfcg------->download
to upload goto pfcg----
>upload.
we did this in our landscape.
so , i am quite sure about this process.

Transporting is possible only in uni direction (only 1 way is possible DEV --> QAS --> PRD)
But u cant transport it from QAS to DEV, or DEV <-- QAS <--PRD (not possible).

Well I am sure SAP will not be very pleased with this approach on moving transport from QA to Dev. Anyway make sure that the transport is not created as a Local Change Request.
