Is it possible to have a remote triggering of an adapter especially for File and JDBC?

A direct trigger is not possible at this moment (again SAP should confirm that). But, if your
requirement is to pick a file or make a db query after receiving a trigger, a simpler approach
could be use of u201CProxyu201D. Your calling application would invoke the JAVA/ABAP proxy,
which could then pick the files or execute queries on a database.
