Hi All

Im using ECC6.0 with SQL 2005 on windows2003 server

My printer is LP Laser Jet 1018

I have made printer with Front end printing

Device type : HP laser jet 1160

Device class : Standard printer

tried both : F/G

host spool : __default

Now whn I giv print command the printer shows some activity and thn stops and there is no printout and no error mesg too.

In SP02 it says completed bt at the status bar it just shows printing bt there is no printout and no error.

At windows level its printing but whn I giv command at SAP level, it just saying printing....printing.....and printing

Any body have ny idea ???

Many Thanks

Mani

Hi,

your printer is LP Laser Jet 1018

and your defined printer in SAP is HP laser jet 1160

cause printer driver mismatch.

since you are using frontend printing

then use Device type : SAPWIN SAPWIN : Rel 4.x

Host Printer: __DEFAULT

not __default

one more thing saplpd is no more supported instead of that use Host spool access method G as Mr. Markus suggested.

check Note 821519 - Front-end printing with control technology

Hi Kaushal,

"G" method I already tried but it was not working.

ALthough when changed device type to SAPWIN as suggested by, its working now.

Many Thanks

Hi Kaushal,

with each print command its giving one extra page initially.

on tht extra page big "SAP" word is printed and other information like print requered, printed on , etc etc......

Hi,

run tcode SAPD -> enter -> double click on your device i.e LOCL or name which you provide for SAPWIN device type ->

select tab output attributes -> uncheck SAP Cover Page.

save your changes.

What access method do you use to print? If not yet tried, try to use "G".
