match-->merge in workflow

Hi All,

What is use of Merge step in workflow? I have to create a workflow

Start>Process->match->merge->approve-->assign.Syndicate-->stop

But i am unable to connect the match step with Merge step. What might be the reason ?

Hi Priya

Merge step in workflow is only for merging the different threads after Branching step. We cannot have merge functionality og merging records in MDM w/f as merging has to be done manually. For merging use foll w/f:

Start->Validate>Match>Process(for merging)-->stop.

Assign the rocess step to user or role who upon recieving this task will perform merging of records manually in match mode in data manager.
