Need of SRM

Hi friends

i am new to SRM.

what is the need of going to SRM 5.0 since ECC 5.0 is also webbased

With SRM only we are able to connect to external suppliers

I am really in a dilemma frame of mind

please let me know

Hi Krishna..,

Basically SRM is used for indirect material procurement.

Also the shop floor people will not have access to R/3.

Hence SRM is use ful for them to procure materials

rather than requesting Purchase department.

This also reduces the work of Purchase department.
