SERIAL NUMBER ISSUE

dear ALL,

pleasea advcie me on below error.when i was doing goods receipts and i got the below message.

Status of at least one serial number of item 000080 is not allowed

Stock data of serial number xxxxx not suitable for movement

please advcie where i have to check for this

Hi,

If you were trying to do auto GR for finished product, you would ge this error because Automatic goods movements are not permitted for materials that require serial numbers.The goods movement must then be executed manually in inventory management.

Check the serial number status in transaction IQ03, by giving the material number and the serial number. Please let us know the status, if it ECUS or ESTO ?

Hi There

Try using txn IQ03 and use the serial nos which you are trying to receive if it does not exist there it means there is an issue with the the serial nos you are trying to receive
