Hi All
Is there a way of deleting initiators which are already tied to requests? We would like clear the system of all initiators if this is not possible is there a way around it! We would like to use attributes assigned to those initiators in new initiators.
Any assistance will be appreciated!
Hi there,
it is possible to delete initiators!
- find the path the initiator you want to delete is tied to
- edit the path and check the "detour" box and deactivate the "active" box
- save the path without an initiator (detours don't need initiators)
- now you can delete your initiator
What is not possible is to delete the path (only when deleting the requests with the mentioned script).

Daniela

One thing to be careful of is that an "initiator" still works even if a path is DEACTIVATED

Hi Rodger,
Yes. You cannot delete initiator alone. You have to remove the requests corresponding to that initiator and
the path. It is advisable to get the script from support. If you delete yourself and if you miss or remove extra entries, then you will not get he support.
Thanks

Rodger-
There is no way of deleting initiators which you have already used to create a request. You can request a script from SAP to delete all your requests, which is a SQL script to delete data from the table. Then you can go ahead and delete your initiators.
Or you can delete the requests yourself with help from your database team and if you know which tables to clean...
