Splitting MCOD (Oracle DB)

Former Member

Hi Experts,

I have installed 2 SAP Applications in MCOD (Oracle DB).

I have to seperate these applications to the dedicated database.

Can we split this MCOD?

Can we transfer the specific application data to another DB instance(newly installed)?

If yes how we can do this?

Please suggest me how we can split this MCOD.

Thanks,

Mahesh

Hi,

as I know there isn't a standard way to separate 2 SAP Applications installed in a MCOD.

Perhaps, you can try to install a new instance (with the same usage type the you want export from MCOD DB) without excute the DB load.

Then you have to export the Oracle schema of your Sap application and the import them on new installation.

You can execute the import and export using Oracle functionality.

Hi,

You can copy one SAP system from an MCOD landscape using the SAP standard system copy method (R3setup with R3load (4.6D, 6.10), SAPinst with R3load / Jload (>= 6.20)

check Note 388866 - Multiple Components on One Database - Installation
