Hi all,
The below is the error I get.
ERROR 2008-06-24 10:36:57
CJS-30150 Java processes of instance TAT/DVEBMGS00 [ABAP: ACTIVE, Java: UNKNOWN] did not reach state PARTRUNNING after 20:30 minutes. Giving up.
ERROR 2008-06-24 10:36:57
FCO-00011 The step startJava with step key |NW_Onehost|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_Onehost_System|ind|ind|ind|ind|1|0|NW_CI_Instance|ind|ind|ind|ind|11|0|NW_CI_Instance_StartJava|ind|ind|ind|ind|5|0|startJava was executed with status ERROR .
I changed the heap mem as well.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Thilanka,
To get more information to diagnose the problem take a look at your /usr/sap/<SID>/<INSTANCE>/work/dev_jcontrol file and also take a look at /usr/sap/<SID>/<INSTANCE>/j2ee/cluster/system.log
There are also trace files under the path /usr/sap/<SID>/<INSTANCE>/j2ee/cluster/dispatcher and
/usr/sap/<SID>/<INSTANCE>/j2ee/cluster/server0 which will help.
Check the dev_jcontrol file first, it should give a hint.

Nelis

Thanks Nelis,
I just restarted the installation again.
And it got through the starting java engine.
But it stopped at phase configuring AS JAVA.
Says not enough space. Could not fork process.
I think it is because of a memory problem.
I have 4gb ram at the moment but I don't know what the required memory is.
Do you know?
Or may be there is a work around to lower the heap memory or something.
I lowered the mem in config tool too to 256M.
But no result.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Thilanka
