Hi,
I'm totally new to XI/PI so I might be missing something really basic. Anyways, I'd appreciate any help.
I'm just doing my first steps with PI 7.1.
When I'm trying to create a configuration object in the wizard of the integration builder I get the following error:
Problem with SLD configuration: Cannot find central Adapter Engine No SLD elements of type SAP_XIAdapterFramework found
In the SLD - Technical Systems there is an entry named "Adapter Engine on xxxxx" with type "XI Adapter Framework". Isn't this the one the wizard is looking for?
Thanks
Michael
Hi Michael
I have come across this before on PI7.0, although not on PI 7.1.
It is normally down to a post installation steps being incomplete.
Please check this:
I am aware that the template installer does not always work successfully!
If this is the case, check OSS note 764176

After installing a newer Service Pack, the problem is now gone. Thx for alle replies.

By suggesting to restart the service I guess you were thinking of
sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.app
sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.cpa.app
as it is described in note 1031321 step 2.
I tried that, didn't change anything.
If this was the problem, there wouldn't be an "Adapter Engine on xxxxx" with type "XI Adapter Framework" listed in the SLD, would there?
Regards
Michael

Sometimes the associations need to be done manually as the template installer is notoriously bad for "finishing!" without actually completing!
It is worth checking 764176 to make sure all the associations are done in the SLD! You can manually make anc change these to complete the work the installer is supposed to do!
Mike,
Try restarting the service. Might not get registered properly!!

Hi Michael,
I think Adapter Framework was not registered. Please restart the service.
Kindly reward points if this is helpful.

Sridhar.
