How to upload data from csv file to 9ADEMAND

Former Member

Hi,

We are trying to upload data through a CSV file into 9ADEMAND infocube in SPP.

The CSV file has a perfect mapping of Fields with the Infosource (9ASPP_CD_CSV_LOAD). After defining Transfer rules and Commuincation structure we were able to transfer data contents to the Infosource from the CSV file.

But since the Cube has entirely different fields, we do not know how the mapping of the fields between Infocube and Infosurce can take place. This mapping will be required to define the update rules.

Thanks and Regards

Parag Dani

Hi,

First thing is that, is it necessary to create Info Source? becz u can create transformation between Info Cube & Data Source.

You can Map the field manually but Source Fileld & Target Field should have same data type.

Hope,it will solve your problem

Hi Sujay,

Thanks for the Reply.

The use of Infosource 9ASPP_CD_CSV_LOAD is mandatory for uploading data according to SAP help document.

As far as the mapping is concerned there are many fields (Key figures and characteristics, both) in 9ASPP_CD_CSV_LOAD that we cannot map into the Infocube.

Is the mapping related in any way to Custom settings (spro)?

Hi,

Is there Target Filed & Source Filed ( Char. & Key figure) are same?

Becz if both info objects in Info Cube & Infosource are same then system automatically map the same. If system is not maping automatically then you have to do mannually.

As far as SPRO setting,i dont thk so that there is some setting for the same.

Hi Sujay,

The Source and the Traget Fields are not the same. So the mapping does not take place automatically.

For manual mapping, there are some Source fields that do not have a matching data type in Target Fields.

a) Is it mandatory that every field in Source gets a matching data type in Target?

Hi Parag,

If data type of Target & source field is not same then it`s very difficult to copy data from one field to anothere.

If u have CSV format file then put same Info object which is available in your info cube.

I mean, if you want extract 9ADEMAND key figure data from CSV file to Info Cube, then following info object in your CSV file.

Planning Vesrion Product Location Period Keyfigure Unit of measure

000 TEST 1000 001.2008 500 EA

This above is the sample data for CSV file.

Take same info object in your infocube also,so transformation should happen automatically.

Try this one,may solve your problem.

Hi Sujay,

We tried to put Info objects which are available in cube into the CSV.

The transfer structure is 9APP_CD_CSV_LOAD and it has certain characteristics - lets say A, B, C and Key Figures D, E. The Infocube 9ADEMAND has characteristics - lets say X, Y and key Figure Z. We added charactersitics A,B, C and Key Figure Z to the Transfer structure.

We are able to load data as well, however we face some issues in Interactive demand management of Spare Parts Planning.(/n/sapapo/sppdmdh). Is this problem likely due to addition of Fields in a SAP standard Infosource (9APP_CD_CSV_LOAD)

Hi Sujay,

We have proceeded with manual mapping of Infoobjects between Infosource and the Infocube. Though the Infoobjects are different mapping is done based on data types of the two infoobjects being mapped.

Thanks for your help.
