To increase the length of Authorization Group and Lab/Office

Hi Expert,

Is it possible to increase the length of Authorization Group field from 4 characters to 6 characters and Lab/Office field from 3 to 5 characters? as per specific requirement

If yes how to do it with steps to follow. Any useful suggestion from DMS-ABAPers and SAP Moderators u2026

hi,

according to my experience I would not recommend you to increase the field length because you cannot know what follow-up actions the change of this table field has.

I would recommend you to create a classification characteristic for this issue. For this characteristic you can maintain a useful field lenght without problems.
