SCM DP & SNP Business process

Hi folks

Are there any good books outh there worth reading from a business implementation perspective for DP & SNP ?

I am more specifically looking for some content which would be helpful for a consultant to drive the basic implementation from scratch. I have the required technical knowledge of how to implement but need to know the business parameters and process that drive 'what to implement' !

Dear Krishna,

Broadly DP(Demand Planning ) is used for SALES FORECASTING.

This sales forecasted is to be serviced by "Distribution Centres". This requires Distribution Planning. The quantity to be distributed in required time horizons is to be either Produced or Procured. This requires Production and Procurement planning.

Distribution Planning,Production Planning, Procurement Planning is what SNP does.
