Default batch value in sale Order

Hi Experts,

my need is to put a default value (for example, the value 1000) for the "batch" for all item's of a sale order.

1- is that possible?

2 - it is possible juste in the sale order (SO) or also in Inquiry and Quotation ?

3 - if this is possible, how to do the cusomization ?

Pls try t.code VCH1, pls maintain the condition record here for this batch and the system would pick up the same batch all the time.

I presume you have the Batch determination procedure in place. The procedure is almost similar to Pricing procedure set up.

Hi

To do the Automatic Batch Determination, Pls. follow the steps:

In Delivery Item category Activate the Automatic Batch Determination.(IF batch to be determined at Delivery level)

While creating the Material, maintain the classification view, wherein we have to maintain class as 023

In Material Plant data storage 2, give total shelf life, minimum remaining shelf life, Period indicator for shelf life. Check Batch Management.

Go to CT04, create characteristics,

Go to CL01, define Selection class

Define Sort Rule

In SPRO define Condition table, Access seq, Strategy type, Batch search Determination Procedure, Batch search Procedure allocation & activation check.

Go to VCH1, Maintain records

You start batch determination manually, or the system starts automatic batch determination.

The system then carries out the following steps in succession:

1.it looks for a search procedure for the business transaction

2.it searches through the strategy types listed in the search procedure for a search strategy. The first valid search strategy is adopted and all other search strategies are ignored.

it then uses the characteristics from the selection class of the search strategy to look for batches with suitable specifications

3. it checks whether the batches are available

4. it sorts the batches that were found and are available according to the sort rule from the search strategy

the system proposes that batch determination is to run online, providing that the search strategy contains the information

1.Condition tables

2.Access sequences

3.Strategy types

4.Search strategies

5.Assignment of batch search procedure to business transactions

6.Selection classes

7.Sort rules
