When iam trying to transfer global settings for factory calender in Update mode, it doesnt allow so, it says factory calender is for only rebuild mode. Is this a standard functionality, why does it do so.
Based on my understanding it is only UoM transfer that can take place in update mode since you can have the opportunity to maintain UoMs in APO without establishing in R3. However you do not have such an opportunity as far as Factory calendars are concerned. Lot of transaction data that flows back and forth between R3 and APO refers to factory calendars. To ensure this happens smoothly, you need to establish the factory calendar in R3 and keep it in sync with APO. I think it is more by design than anything else.
We do have update options for FYV, Currencies too....Yes i too feel the same thing logically for factory calender rebuild is ok...but i just wanted a confirmation is it a standard functionality of SAP.
