Hi Experts
My client usually refers BOM for all projects. There will not be any individual item in the Project.
Can I use Unit costing or Easy Cost Planning? What can be the better way to plan the cost?

Dear Pallavi
The better way to plan the cost is using Easy cost planning at WBS Element level for the BOM.

Hi
You can assign material BOMs directly to network activity and the network costing will update the planned costs accordingly. The system picks up the cost of the header BOM component from the material master.
If the material master has no cost, then the system returns zero cost.
But the system dosen't understand which cost to pick in case, if the component has a WBS BOM.
Unlike in sale order costing, the system does not explode the WBS BOM or material BOM while costing.
Let someone advise how to account for such a scenario. Its probably a GAP in SAP (or is there some setting??) if the project costing dosen't explode the WBS BOM and cost each individual line item of the BOM and aggregate the total to the header BOM component.
Kindly suggest.
