Common Distribution Channels

Hello Gurus,

when creating Common Distribution Channels (VOR1), why is there only on place for customer/material, and not 2 place for customer and material respectively.

Beacuse when you create document, the Customer and the Material must be valid for the same Distribution channel.

The main adwantage of common distribution channels and divisins is to reduce the strain to create multiple master recods for same customer/materials for different sales areas.

if u r maintaining a common division u cont create a materil in different divisions. so there is no necessasity to use material there...and vise versa.

Is your question regarding pricing condition records wherein you have key only for customer/material and not customer and material respectively.

In case yes, you have to maintain in pricing PR02 assess sequence, separate accesses for customer & material.

This would ensure you have different keys for customer and material also.
