Hello,
I have an SCM IDES system, and I ran SCCL to check the resources for a client copy.
I ran it using SAP_ALL, and with the option for Resource Check.
The results in SCC3 tell me that I need 231 GB (231,023,806 Kb)
My entire database is 54 Gb.
This can't be the needed space for a client copy.
Can anyone explain why the estimate is so high?
How can I determine the actual amount of disk needed for an additional client?
Thanks
Doug
IDES systems are usually pretty big (above 200 GB for ECC 6.0) so the 54 GB sounds a bit small. Are you copying from an IDES system to a non-IDES system?
Thanks,

Yes, I'm sure I am estimating the correct IDES system clients.
My ECC 6.0 IDES database is 166 Gb, and the SCC3 analysis gives 91 Gb for a client copy.
I don't know why this large amount came up in SCM, but that's ok. I'll just estimate the entire db size and see check the results after the copy is finished.
Thanks for your response.
Doug
