Batch problem

Hello friends,

I have customized Batch procedure.In material master also I maintained all the values with respect to batches.I put check box for automatic batch determination at item level .

when I am creating a sales order, I am getting a warning message that " it was not possible to determine a batch"

At delivery level I have to give manually batch, automatically it was not determined.

What could be the reason?

please clarify my doubt.

Hi,

At Material Master level you need to maintain check box for Automatic Batch determination and also you need to maintain classification tab.

Prior to this need to do the settings at ING for Batch at Sales & Distribution level.

This classification tab consists data pertaining to the Class and also you have to maintian details at T. Code VCH1 (Batch Search Statergy) & MSC1N (Create Batch).

I think without maintianing VCH1 batch search strartergy the batch will not be determined at sales order level.
