OS(operating system) Port data to SAP

Hi,

The Mettler (weighing machine) will weigh the gold. How to interface this with SAP & capture the weight the ornament in SAP database.

We can see the weight of this ornament through Start>All Programs>Accessories>Communications>Hyper Terminal. I was told that this weight is stored in OS(operating system) Port(COM3 or COM2 or COM1). How to fetch this OS Port data from SAP?
