Configure e-mail using SMTP received error 554

Hello,

I am following note 455140 for configuration of e-mail to internet users. I tested send me a message from SAP to my e-mail address of my own domain and the message arraived without problem, but when I sent a messsage to others the message finished with the error: Internal error: CL_SMTP_RESPONSE ESMTP error code is not known. 554 554 Relay rejected for policy reasons.

I tried to find notes but there aren't for this message error.

This is not a configuration problem of the SAP system but for the sever you configured. That message means that the server is not accepting mail from the server. you have to configure your SMTP server ot allow the SAP system to send mail through it.

How can I configure my SMTP server for allow the SAP system to send mail through it.?

Do I need to change configuration in the side of my server mail?

In SAP system the configuration has a few steps and I followed them.

I don´t know - I don´t know which mail server you use (software).

Hello,

Initially check the ICM traces.

Tcode>SMICM>Goto-->traces

Check if you have the following error somewhere in this file.

"Recipient address rejected".

If this is the case, please ask your mail server administrator to assist you in solving the ptroblem.
