Hello Everyone-
I am running version of 11.5.2 of xMII and am having difficulty generating the documentation for a particular transaction. It is a very large transaction (trx file > 2000 kB) that accesses the SAP backend, specifically PP-PI. When I select "Generate Documentation" it "goes away and never comes back"- I can not even find the running process. Note that I can succcessfully print other (albeit smaller) trx files with no issue.
Is this a known issue or is there perhaps something I can look for in the transaction itself? Thanks for any insights that can be provided. Have a nice weekend.

Kevin - the transaction shouldn't need to be that big. Probably what happened is that when you included a SQL query or historian query in your transaction and chose to generate sample data, you allowed it to generate a "full-size" document, instead of limiting the # of rows. Edit your transaction and re-do this to shrink the size of the sample document, and your transaction (and associated documentation) will be MUCH smaller.

Hi,
This Requires change in Heap Size in CMSLogicEditor.jsp file.

Kevin,
The usual culprit is the Heap size needs to be increased. There could be other reasons, but generally an increase in the Heap size resolves the problem. I am not sure how big it would need to be for your transaction. 2000Kb is quite large for a transaction. I would also strongly urge breaking it up into several component transactions for ease of reuse and easier maintenance.
Hope this helps,
Mike

Hi Michael,
I experience the same problem in MII 12.0.2.
The problem with breaking up the transactions in smaller parts in MII 12 is that the performance gets really bad. Some consultants told me that this may be caused by the change of maintaining transaktions in MII 12.
So increasing the heap size (e.g.) may be the better way...

Michael

I think this will solve your problem.

Hi Kevin,
Reproduce the issue and check the Java Web Start console to see if any errors (or perhaps memory issues) occurring.
Kind Regards,
