Creating Project and WBS Elements

Hi Experts,

while creating the WBS Element and Project i want to specify the naming convention as per my requirement.

but when i doing that it says entry length is incorrect S-0000-XX-000-000

Maximum length is 24 for a WBS element and i am giving <= 24 char but still i have the same problem.

Is this a configuration issue.....

what is the coding mask.........is this something related to my issue.

Please help me out with the detailed info

You should have configured the coding mask using T code OPSJ.

Also indicator SL would have been checked. So if you have PL as 2 and SL checked, system will not allow you to create project numbers as 'S' alone. It needs to be something like SA etc.,

Also in your case I think Indicator 'Edit' might have been checked in T code OPSK.

Hit F1 on these fields to know more their influence.

I appreciate your immediate response...

But actually my requirement is i want to create wbs elements with different hierarchy levels.

at level 1 i need wbs as "S"

level 2 wbs as "SXX"

level 3 wbs as "SXX000"

level 4 wbs as "SX000XX00"

level 5 wbs as "SX000XX00XX00"

Project definition as "0000000000"

Please let me know how to configure all this in OPSJ/OPSK in detail
