HI
NetWeaver Developer Studio is just a tool for developing EP Components and java code. It is an IDE like eclipse but more features than eclipse.
But NetWeaver is Platform for different technologies like EP,XI,BI,MDM,MI,...etc.
EP--People Integraion
XI--Process Integraion,
BI--Information Integration.
2)
NWDS..its just a java tool...and it has just the java stack..
Where as XI has both JAVA and ABAP stack..
