how to install bar code printer.

Dear All,

A issue in my company that i have to install BAR code printer.But i dont have any idea how to install BAR code in sap..AS i m the BASIS guy this is the first time i m facing this issue...plz tell me how to resolve this...

What kind of printer are you talking about? Local printing?

You can find documentation by going to

httP://service.sap.com/notes

and search for "barcode" in component "BC-CCM-PRN*"

HI,

first check in following note your printer device is supported or not.

Note 8928 - List of supported printers/device types

barcode printer configuration is same as other printer configuratrion

Thanx for ur supportive answer once again...The printer is supported By Sap..but i donno hoe to install it in SAP..The same way as do in other printer using TC SPAD.and what i have to do with T.C SE73.

plz if tell me the steps if possible for u...

Hi,

yes, same way as you doing for other printer in SPAD

just select your device from device type in Device attribute

then select your appropriate host spool access method and host printer.

SE73 is use for font maintenance which are use in SAP script .

The printer is technically connected the same way as other printers.

The formular (SMARTFORMS or SapScript) must be adapted. This is done by a developer usually who has the manuals for the printer and the necessary escape sequences.
