plant scenario

HI Gurus,

Can u give answer pls.

If we have three plants & one material, then how to extend single material to all three plants?

My scenario is:

Material is same.I want maintain in different plants.

we cant do MM01 3 times for three plants.Because it doesnt allow second time with same material number.

Gives error"material XXXXXX" is already exists.

Go to MM01, give the material in the ref and say copy..

now when U press enter..choose the views U want to create data for.. and then press enter, it'lll show a screen where U need to give ur new plant and extend..

Dear james

Go to MM01, input the existing material code and also maintain the same code below in the tab "Copy from" and select all the three sales views and click the green tick at bottom. Now the system will ask for Plant reference. There give the new plant and execute so that you will see an information at the bottom "Material already created and will be extended".

Keep doing the same for other materials.

Hi,

Goto MM01, Enter Material number which u have created, Now click on organzational levels, Enter the second plant and sava it,

This will extend yout material into that plant.

Do it for other also.
