Hi Deepak,

To make Syndication automated you need to Use Master Data Syndication Server(MDSS).

(Set the path in FTP server till your DBMS Instance example *C:\Program Files\SAP MDM5.5\Server\Distribution\11.22.33.44_MSQL(Database Server IP))

*

FTP will pick up the syndicated file and put it into the ready folder of the outbound port of that particular Repository.

DBMS Server Name->Repository Name>Direction(O/B Port)--->Client System>Port -

>Ready

MDSS will generate syndication files automatically to outbound ports on MDM repositories.Requirements for Automated MDSS Processing

Property Value

Type Outbound

Processing Automatic

Syndication File Location

When MDSS completes a syndication to a port, it places the syndication file in the portu2019s Ready folder. The Ready folder is part of the following fixed directory structure, located beneath the MDM Serveru2019s distribution root directory:

root/DBMSinstance_DBMStype/RepositoryName/Outbound/

RemoteSystem/PortName/Ready

Every time Syndicator will syndicate a file the FTP server will put it to the ready folder of the outboun port of that particular repository.

Where root is the distribution root directory (set in mds.ini).

u2022 DBMSinstance is the network identifier used to specify the DBMS instance name and DBMStype is the four-character identifier for the DBMS type (i.e. MSQL, ORCL, IDB2).

u2022 RepositoryName, RemoteSystem, and PortName are the values entered in the Code property for each item in the MDM Console.

After it scans all automatic, outbound ports on all loaded repositories,MDSS waits the number of seconds specified in the Auto Syndication Task Delay property of the mdss.ini file before starting anew task.

Hi,

MDM application which enables you to automate the syndication process using syndication maps created in the MDM Syndicator.you have to maintain following parameter settings in the mdss.ini file:

· Server

· Password

To make syndication Process automated, your MDSS service should be running. you have to configure Outbound Port for your Target System

To set up automatic syndications to a port, the port must meet the specified requirements:

Property Value

Type Outbound

Processing Automatic

When MDSS completes a syndication to a port, it places the syndication file in the portu2019s Ready folder. So you dont need to simply dragging it in to FTP Ready folder.
