hi Venkat,

As of such there is no need to convert WD Java applications to WD Abap applications. It all depends on what is the functionality that you are trying to implement.

WD Java is different from WD Abap like we use NWDS for the WDJ and we use the transcation se80 (ABAP development workbench for WDA).

There is no way as you can convert from WD Java to WD ABAP, if needed you have to develop them manually from the stratch.

Thanks and regards,

Kris

Venkat,

There is no need as such to convert Webdynpro for Java applications to Webdynpro for ABAP. If you can share what application exactly you are talking about, then you will get some better inputs from experts out here on SDN.

SAP offers you these two different ways for developing Portal content.

There is lot of information (including some nice blogs) on SDN on the pros and cons of using these two methodologies.

If you are developing any new applications (where you have the flexibility and expertise to use both the technologies), then you might want to think about going with which option.

Thanks,

Shanti
