Hello,
I am completely new to SAP scripts. I was going through a program which uses SAP scripts and has the following call: -
CALL FUNCTION 'READ_TEXT'
EXPORTING
client = sy-mandt
object = 'ZOTCRCD_GM'
name = '0000000506'
id = 'A01'
language = sy-langu
TABLES
lines = lt_line
EXCEPTIONS
id = 1
language = 2
name = 3
not_found = 4
object = 5
reference_check = 6
wrong_access_to_archive = 7
OTHERS = 8.
IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
READ TABLE lt_line INTO lx_line INDEX 1.
p_int_remark = lx_line-tdline.
ENDIF.
The program works perfectly and the internal table LT_LINE get filled correctly. But, I am not able to view the text in SO10 for some reason.
I entered the folloing values in SO01: -
Text name = '0000000506'
ID = 'A01'
Language = 'EN'
When, I run the transaction, I get the message - "Text ID A01 for text object TEXT does not exist".
Why does this happen? I am assuming that I need to specify 'ZOTCRCD_GM' as the object in SO10. But, how do i do that?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Divyaman

Hi,
Click on F4 on field Text name. It will bring up another screen. There blank out fields "Text" and "Text ID".
You will get a list of all the objects, names, and ids.
Select your related object and view the contents.

Hi Subramaniam,
Thanks for your reply but it doesn't work. Even if you blank out the text and the ID fields, the list you get is for all the IDs and names for the object TEXT (which seems to be the default option). I want to display the IDs and the names for the object 'ZOTCRCD_GM'. How do I do this?
The output I am gettin right now is this: -
Name Language Object ID Form
/ISIDEX/IS_U_BILL_HEADER EN TEXT ST IS_U_BI_BILL
/ISIDEX/IS_U_MM_BILL_FOOTER EN TEXT ST IS_U_BI_BILL
/ISIDEX/IS_U_MM_BILL_HEADER EN TEXT ST IS_U_BI_BILL
/ISIDEX/IS_U_MM_BILL_INFOBOX EN TEXT ST IS_U_BI_BILL
/ISIDEX/IS_U_MM_BILL_ITEM_CONSUMPTION_HEADER EN TEXT ST IS_U_BI_BILL
/ISIDEX/IS_U_MM_BILL_KENNUNG EN TEXT ST IS_U_BI_BILL
/ISIDEX/IS_U_MM_BILL_SUM EN TEXT ST IS_U_BI_BILL
/ISIDEX/IS_U_MM_DOC_ITEM_CONSUMPTION EN TEXT ST IS_U_BI_BILL
932000010 EN TEXT ST SYSTEM
ADDRESS EN TEXT ST SYSTEM
ADRS_FOOTER EN TEXT ADRS
ADRS_HEADER_LOGO_BMON EN TEXT ADRS SYSTEM
..........
..........
As you can see, the object remains the same. How do display texts in the object 'ZOTCRCD_GM'.
Thanks & regards,
