We have modified the ESS Other Bank screen to show the actual start date and end date of the record in the data base. When the user modifies the end date ( sets it to some date in the future ) we get an error "Change in the payroll past not possible". The issue is that when we make the same change using PA30 we are not getting the error.
e.g.: Start Date for Bank Record - 10/01/2003
End Date for Bank Record - 12/31/9999
Through ESS we change the end date to 12/31/9998 then we get an error message.
If we do the same thing in PA30 then we don't get any error
When I debug the issue I see that in the back end the system is trying to save both the start date and the end date and since payroll has been run on 03/12/2004 the system throws an error saying that "Change in the payroll past not possible". Why does the system think that we are changing the start date in ESS when it don't check the start date in PA30?
