CAD Desktop config

Dear all

We are using Cideon 4.0 for CAD integration. I will config. I am planning to use Default option because it will allow users to use it for any document type. Is there any authorizations for CAD integration because we will have authorization for DMS.

Sandeep,

All the authorization needs to be done for DMS , nothing particular for CAD desktop , but make sure you do all the settings in CDESK_CUS.

Do you want to use the AutoCAD or Inventor interface?

What do you mean with all document types? Do you mean the CAD related document types or all document types in general?

Hi,

You need to give authorization for Tcode CDESK.

This needs to be given to user to access CAD DESKTOP.

You can set default values of document type and no authorizations are required in DMS only make sure that default values are selected corectly for the particular document types or else your document will throw error every time u create DIR and the message will not be clear, where is the problem

What is that "default values" you are talking about?

Are you discussing about CAD Desktop customization

or

DMS customization.?

Hi,

No there is no autorization required for CAD Integration. You can specify the authorisation in DMS part.
