hi folks,

i posted this days ago but now we invesigated a bit around so i try to repost.

ok,lets go:

we have 2 environments , nw2004s and r/3, we want in nw2004s to have a searchhelp called DEBI (the one of r/3), but how can this be achieved without having to rebuild the searchhelp in nw2004s (as DEBI is only in an erp-environment available) - DEBI just as a sample.

All guys how use WD JAVA must have the same "problems" i guess.

any hints would be very welcome!!!!

Hi Oliver,

Since neither the data nor the data structures are available in the raw nw2004s system, you've got to recreate the search help and use rfc or copied data to access the content. Besides reusing the build-in DDIC search helps, Web Dynpro also offers the possibility to define your own search help and to create your own coding for retrieving the data from the other system at runtime (in case you don't want to copy it). Those search helps are called OVS. There should be some examples available in the system.
