Dears,
My SAP version is 4.7,Oracle 9i and OS is solaris.I want to upgrade my SAPDBA.
For which as i know i have to upgrade my kernel to 640 from 620.Now the issue is that when i go to
market place to download kernel for solaris 32 bit..i do not find database dependent car files there..but they are present for 64 bit kernel for solaris..as i am new for solaris envirnment,I am thinking that might be solaris comes in 64 bit form only..Am i right? if i m not then why kernel database dependent file is not available there...
Please suggest...
Regards,
Shivam

Dear Shivam,
SAPDBA is not supported anymore by SAP and SAP has suggest their customer to use BRTOOLS than using SAPDBA. So I suggest you to start using BRTOOLS to do DBA task.

32bit kernel for Solaris are LONG out of maintenance.
What is your architecture? Please post the output of
/usr/sbin/psrinfo -v
