At SM7.0 DSWP, goto-> Solution Manager Diagnostics, the SMD web page is launched.
However, for 2 identical SM7.0 (same patch level) , the web pages for SMD have different
ports in their URLs:
http://host1:50100/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcsmdnavigation/SmdNavigation?
http://host2:8001/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcsmdnavigation/SmdNavigation?
Both are working.
Do you know why?

Hi,
First one connects directly the instance. Second one uses ICM. If your Solution Manager has several instances you can access one in particular with the first url and use a load balancing dispatching with the second one.
