Hi ,
Can any one help me how to do a migration from 32 to 64 bit.
Any help is appreciated.
thanks
Migrations from 32 to 64 bit are fairly easy and fairly quick. They do not change the DB data, just the wrapping bits. There are notes on all of them so I would perform a note search on the following words
64-bit migration Oracle
64-bit migration MSSQL
64-bit migration DB2
64-bit migration MAXDB
depending on your database.
There are various strategies based on whether your target is the same as your source server also.
They are all slightly diufferent but not hard, we have a few such migrations currently happening.
hope that helps
regards
Graham
