PI-PCS= Process Industry - Process Control System Interface
SAPu2019s PI-PCS interface provides a solution for process manufacturers to unite SAP R/3 business and process manufacturing software with the real-time world of process control. It closes the time and information gap to provide business and plant managers with the complete picture -enabling more streamlined production and higher quality management.
PI-PCS is a standard, open interface enabling direct integration of the SAP R/3 PP-PI System(Production Planning - Process Industries) with complementary PCS (Process Control Systems),SCADA (Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition Systems), and DCS (Distributed Control Systems).
