Cyclic Reference in DC

Former Member

Hi,

I have two DCs DC-A & DC-B. I want to use some functions in DC-A in DC-B and some functions used in DC-B in DC-A.

I have already declared DC-B as used DC in DC-A. Now, Can I declare DC-A as used DC in DC B? Such kind of cyclic reference is allowed?

Experts please advice.

Thanks in advance,

Apurva

Hi Fazal,

Thank you once again.

I am new in field of Component based development. Is there any tutorial/blog/article which will explain the concepts in detail? I have read few which explain stepwise process but not concepts.

1. What is Child DC? What is difference between child DC and used DC?

2 When I add used DC I get so many options build time, design time, deploy time, which one should I choose?

Hi,

Thank you Fazal for the reply.

But, I want to use some functions in both DC-A & DC-B.

Currently these functions are in DC-A. But now due to cyclic dependency I can not use these functions in DC-B.

One solution to this problem, can be creating new DC, DC-C with the functions which are needed by both DC-A & DC-B. And then declare it as used DC in DC-A & DC-B. DC -B will still be a used DC for DC-A. Will this work?

DC-A uses DC-B and DC-C.

DC-B uses DC-C.
