hi..
i've problem in creating data type in xi after importing idoc from the R/3 sender
plz tell me the basic steps for creating data type in the receiver i.e xi.....

Hi,
In two cases u do not need to create the data type
1) Imported object like IDOC and RFC
2) External definition like XSD,WSDL etc.
In ur case no need for data type and message type and message interface u can directy go for message mapping and inerface mapping.

Hi,
For the receiver side the data type can be as per your requirement. It depends upon the message you want to provide in the output. So go ahead and create your data type accordingly.

You don't need to create a data type after importing the IDOC.
Idoc itself acts as message type and message interface.
